Art Fund & Black Curatorial present a new survey to document the needs and experiences of independent and freelance curators across the U.K.

This survey is brought to you in partnership with a-n, esea contemporary, Azeema, the White Pube, WANAWAL & Dash Arts.

Tell us the changes you want for Independent Curators in the sector! (We know pay for curators is dreadful and classist and we’re working on it)

Our intention is to tailor our existing work to better support these practitioners and influence how Art Fund, and other funders, can better serve curators who work independently from institutions. We want you to be honest, be straight up and know that you’ll be listened to!

We’re committed to ensuring that Art Fund’s future programming and work across the Art landscape is more inclusive and reflective of the needs of Independent curators. We want it verbatim!

We welcome responses from Independent curators with 2+ years of experience but especially those who identify as Black, POC, disabled, lgbtqia+, neurodivergent, working class and/or seeking refuge.
