#5 i listened to 50 albums for the 5th time this year!

this year ive been listening to ‘best of’ lists. at first it was a way to introduce variety into my depression head but now it is a staple part of my writing process??? Pomodoro method but it’s a random album and i have to write for 42 minutes without skipping tracks, even if I don’t like them, and then I can break. I’ve just finished the 5th list, this time it was NME’s top 50 albums of 2020. In 2020, I only listened to two albums (I am a changed girl) and they were The Strokes' ‘The New Abnormal’ (which came 4th on NME’s list) and Dua Lipa’s ‘Future Nostalgia (which came 3rd lol). It was good to go back and find out what other people were listening to the year the world ended. I was walking round my flat in circles pretending I was Julian Casabalancas. I was not okay.
