It’s called PEOPLE OF THE SALT and it’s a text about Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome, the chronic illness I got after Covid > Long Covid. More specifically, I write about why this disability has me eating so many salty snacks on the daily. I kinda hate how much I have to think about food nowadays, and the stress was really getting on top of me around this time last month. That’s when I got in touch with Vittles with a pitch. I think I wanted a way to process the stress by making fun of myself? Idk. I needed to laugh at how ridiculous this is. Relentless too. Anyway, I say it all in the text. Loved working with Vittles editor Sharanya Deepak in particular, who was sensitive but also helped me find a way to make humour work inside that sensitivity. This feels big to me. Big day!
