GDLP

do you wanna see my heart rate last night at Wolf Aliceโ€™s album launch gig for The Clearing in Liverpool he he he he.

a visible app screenshot showing gab's heart rate at a gig with two red spikes

The first red spike is when they played White Horses, a song that feels like running over a big hill, full pelt in end-of-summer light. Feels like good friendship. Feels like not really having a home, but feeling home anyway because of those friends. Big freedom. And I was standing with my arms in the air like I was at the footie, surrounded by girls who could only raise one hand because they each had a mini leather bag tight over one shoulder, when a light swung over my face as I was belting every word and Joff Oddie pointed at me from the stage and smiled, and all the mini leather bag girls turned to look where he was pointing and grinned, excited for me, as if I had caught the bouquet at a wedding. What a song.

(The second spike was Donโ€™t Delete The Kisses) (fwiw I am currently taking 2 x Midodrine pills a day for Long Covid induced Hypovolemic POTS, which usually give me a few hours of mobility on any given day. But last night I popped a third pill before I got in the taxi so I could handle standing up for an hour. woweeeeee Iโ€™ve been working so hard to build up my stamina, living on a rowing machine. And do u know what it feels really emotional to be able to go to a gig on my bill, even so medicated. live music is the prize)

(isn’t it funny when you have to use your phone camera as a periscope in the gig setting bc you are too small)

(‘if you’re all popping pills you know I won’t say no’ except it’s midodrine)
