every month we give £500 to a working class creative whose work we wanna see more - - this month, Alan Ashworth-Muñoz, a painter born in Chile, now based in East London. The grant this month is funded in memory of Fin Owens.
BIO: Alan Ashworth-Muñoz is a Chilean-born artist. Raised in the west of England, he currently lives and works in East London. He studied Fine Art at Gloucestershire College, and continued his art education in Wales at Cardiff Metropolitan University. His practice is infused with his passion for history, folklore, and theatre, with a strong South American influence. He weaves together mythology and surrealism in a variety of mixed media, including watersoluble wax pastels, gouache and oil paints.
